Bluestocking Lounge Brings Burlesque and Cabaret with Attitude This Autumn In Rocktober Rumble! which hits Swansea Grand Theatre Arts Wing October 14.

Heading up the bill is neo-burlesque tour-de-force Velma Von Bon Bon. This will be the fourth time she’s graced our stage, each time bringing something even more spectacular with her – whether it’s her unforgettable Fandango Fiasco, the huge pink flamingo who left us in an explosion of pink feathers, her Blue Moon (naughty but nice) or “fellow performer and legend” Natalia Kalashnikov, who wowed us with aerial skills on the silks at Carmarthen’s Lyric. Velma has been constantly voted in the Top UK performers by readers of 21st Century Burlesque and is also listed in the Top 50 Worldwide. She’s a hard-working performer and we are constantly impressed by her ever-growing repertoire of skills - from uni-cycling, aerial abilities and talents with a martini glass – she’s definitely left us all shook up! We can’t wait for her return! www.velmavonbonbon.com

Tuesday Laveau is about as badass as they come! Hailing from Bristol but with a New Orleans heritage she is proud of, you can expect plenty of spice and sass! With a rebellious swagger and love of gogo dancing, Tuesday is one of the UK’s top booty shakers who boldly goes with a fistful of acts that reflect her powerful, punk rock tease, love of loud music, celebration of the female form and everything in between. She is the co-founder of Coochie Crunch and the successful Bristol Burlesque Festival, both of which produce shows with attitude in the South West.
We’ve also called in the cleaners – in the shape of Mrs No Overall. Originally from Penarth, Mrs No Overall now resides up North, and we’re told she is a demon with a Dust Devil. A winner of the Welsh heat of Burlesque Idol 2016, Mrs No Overall has cleaned up on stages across the UK and we’re told she has a penchant for polish and will get her microfibre out at any opportunity! And she just loves a steamer. Oh yes!
Also on the bill, Lilly Laudanum will be bringing her belly dance troupe Lotus Sisters to the stage, plus we have Ghostbusting action from Tallulah Blue and Bawdrey Hipbone will be hitting the high notes.

As ever, DeeDee and Dawn, our Double Ds, will be providing the sunscreen and passing the parasol. Dress fancy! We always give a prize to those you vote the best dressed!
